Planet number limit? Mod problem
Edit:

Can it be that I can only load a decent amount of planets before the game say no?
My Problem is if I try to load more than 18 modded Planets into the list and load the world it crashes.

To avoid misunderstanding, I don't speak of generating planets. The world crashed before I even have a chance to place a planet.

Here I have now my crash log:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/9g5on0k578nbl3f/SpaceEngineers_20230308_230247386.log?dl=0

Does anyone have that problem too? Can I fix that issue?

The problem is probably your PC. Planets take computer memory and such.

I have 20 Gb free use and have not even placed a single planet even in an empty space it will crash with too many planet mods load.
Does it really have such a big impact?

You may have to rephrase your question. In the opening, it sounded like you had 18 planets loaded and got a crash on the 19th. Then you seem to say to get a crash after one planet.

Either way, from the game history, you can load planets until you run out of PC resources.
It could also be you are loading up planets that are broken.

Hi, it may be a Mod problem, have you tested by pasting in Vanilla planets only in a new created No Mods world ?

-> Mods can crash the game, that is not new and why you should test No Mods.

I never tried more than 10 planets so not sure on how much but I know Xbox players are limited to 3 different Planets in a world.

Sure Vanilla and less than 18 modded planets are save to load.

So maybe it is really the game engine that can't handle more.

By the way, I have edited my first post for avoiding misunderstanding...

Ok, so I will go try to see if I can add more than 18 planets.

Tell me if I understand correctly, the STR is :

1 - You added 18 planet Mods from world settings in a new created SS world.

2 - Loaded that Modded world.

3 - The game crashed.

There's at least one planet there that's ancient and known to be not working, and 200 mods of various kinds, some of which are also known to cause problems, don't blame the game when you do things like this. Dozens of planets of currently functional kinds can be added without problem, the memory footprint of an unmined planet is less than 200kb.

You gave me an idea I want to test.
Give me a moment but yes thats correct.
I test now with an empty space loading only planets.

It's very very important to test all Mods one at a time in a testing world.

You may follow the steps we all do after a game update to find the mods that needs to be removed and reported, But would be better to create a new world in case some Mods broke the save files.

How to test a world or find broken/conflicting Mods :

1 - Select your save.
2 - Click the "Save as" button on the left.
3 - Change the save name to create a *copy.
4 - Withdraw or add one Mod at a time in the copy.

5 - Report to the Mod author (on WS item page) when broken Mod found so he can fix/update his Mod, always very kind to let them know.

*copy
Never test with your original save, better create a copy and fix the original save when solution found in the copy, this way you will not mess up your save.

____

Note

Important to know :

Some Mods can break the save files at a point of "no return", that means the world save can't be fixed.

Some Mods will delete important "code lines" in the save files that are not added back in when removing the Mod, that is another important to know before adding or removing Mods to your Fav save.

Some Mods CAN'T work together, they are conflicting because the Author have used the same code line, and sometimes works to change the order of your Mods list added to the world.

= We may lose the save when testing Mods so very important to know what we are doing before using.

I didn't say its the fault of the game. If it come this way than its my bad spelling.

I posted the log for everyone who can read logs. I can't realy read it and to avoid more stupid explenation from my side.

I hung too much on the "I think its a planet problem" thing and never looked correctly.

Like Rox said, there are some more problems with the mods I picked.
Dan2D3D  [developer] Mar 9, 2023 @ 4:44am
IMO = You are hard on you playing wirh 200 Mods because I can imagine the testing time it needs to find the conflicting/broken Mods before using and after a game update.

I now play no more than 5 Mods per world to avoid long troubleshooting time after a game update.

I would say this... spending a lot of time debugging a world/save that you're creating with so many mods at a time when a major game update is pending which may well cause many new problems especially with mods and non-standard world settings is perhaps a bold move :) but really when you're adding a lot of mods, you need to look carefully at the dates and comments on each for potential problems, especially if you don't have the necessary skills to debug them yourself.
Weeping Angel Mar 9, 2023 @ 4:53am
For examble... what does this mean:
If I look I see.
The mod "Paradise" has some problems but can't really tell if it will break the game.

First, you should remove all Mods giving that error -> " MOD_ERROR: "

+
test all those Mods one at a time in a testing world so a new created world and go read the Workshop item description and date to find more clues on what is going on.
