Corruption Issues

I am having a serious problem that could cause me to stop playing this game. Every time I try and load a world it says it is corrupted, and when try and make a new world it also says that. I just really want to know how to fix this, as I literally cannot do anything with the game, as I have no acess to any of my worlds, downladed worlds, or new worlds. If you know a solution, please, let me know.

I am trying a solution out, but it involved deleting the data file, and I can't figure out how to re-create the file. I have tried the VGC and re-installing the game. Does any one know how to do this? If so, it might fix this issue.

I managed to fix it! You go to ProgramFiles(86)/Steam/Steamapps/common and delete the folder titled space engineers, Then you enter the library, right-click on space engineers, go to proporties, and under one of the tabs, there should be something title verify game cashe, hit that, and steam will re-install the deleted files. You will still have your worlds, and mods, but you can actually play on your worlds from the last save!

For me, when I did this, I had no sound, but that is simply because the music and sound were off in the audio options.

is this where the saved games are? i couldnt find that folder. i had the same problem. i put up a thread that said dont buy this game yet and got banned for it. im hesitant to play because of that and this is the first potential solution ive seen.

i found my files and how to backup on that right click thing. i noticed mine was corrupted when the cloud didnt sync. so i noticed in propertys under updates you can turn off the steam cloud so it wont happen again. ive had this same problem in other games with alot of content.
