Stuck on "Loading please wait" screen

Hey there, I couldn't find a solution to this issue and I already checked several posts about this same issue.

Last time I played was around April 2016 and everything worked fine.

I got this problem whether I try to join a multiplayer game or I try to open character customization menu.

I have no Addon.

I tried :
- Waiting few hours
- Repair (verify cache integrity)
- Delete %appdata%\SpaceEngineers\ and repair again
- Full Uninstall Reinstall
- Lowering all settings to minimum

My internet connection is stable and has a huge bandwith (around 900 mb/s download, around 90 mb/s upload).

My computer :
- CPU : I7 4790K
- GPU : (SLI) 2 x GTX 970
- RAM : 16 Go DDR3 PC17000
- System HardDrive : SSD Crucial MX100 (256Go)
- Game Folder HardDrive : Seagate Barracuda SATA III (2To)
- OS Windows 10 (Fall's Creator update)

I see this in your log file =

DEFINITION_CRITICAL_ERROR:

in file: E:\Jeux\Steam\steamapps\common\SpaceEngineers\Content\Data\WheelModels.sbc

MOD SKIPPED, Cannot load definition file, Following Error occured:




I don't have this ERROR in my log file so make sure you delete ALL remaining SE folders and files in the Steam folder and in the SE appdata folder after unistalling the game.

and reinstall the game to try.


Keep your ''Saves'' and ''Blueprints'' folders in SE appdata if you don't want to lose any.

You think when I uninstalled the game some broken files survived ? I try that right now :)

I hope so, but I'm sure Lieutenant Dan gave me the solution. I focused on deleting all cache files but didn't think of remaining files from my old 2016 installation in steamapps folder itself.

Sometimes you miss simplest things ;)

Everything is deleted => Time to reinstall
