[BUG] Cannot even start game (DX11 woes)
Why does this not just require a min_version of DX? Why is this DX11 ONLY?

Here's the VRageRender-DirectX11.log file as well.

Hi, the '' NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070'' is DX11 but if you have an integrated graphic = the game may be using it.

Usually we always disable the integrated graphic from the BIOS to avoid Drivers conflicts, so if you have one = I'll recommend to ask a computer tech to do so.

OR

Disable the integrated graphic from the ''Windows Device Manager'', this should fix your problem.

See where it says "DirectX Support 12?

Literally nothing on my machine can't handle this game.

Also, it's disabled.

Usually we disable for Desktops and just select the right graphic card in game options for Laptops.

Tho you can't load to the first game menu to go to options.

If there is a .cfg file in SE appdata = you could try to modify.

1- Open the spaceengineers.cfg with Windows note pad.

2- Change the value to ''0'' or ''1'' on that line :

<Key>VideoAdapter</Key>
<Value xsi:type="xsd:string">0</Value>

try ''0'' and later if it's not working with 0 > try with value ''1''

save/exit the Note pad and try the game.

___________

The game may need a fix to run in your computer ??

To be sure, I would share these informations on the Devs bug report website :

Try by adding mine :
https://www.dropbox.com/s/qkgno79bzmmqwrq/SpaceEngineers.cfg?dl=0

Tho it's set for my GTX 1050 Ti with monitor RES 1680X1050, so you may have to change that.

Strange. Reinstalling the nVidia Drivers fixed it. Same driver version, no changes. Just reinstalled.

Cheers to those who've helped!

When I can't play a game, I always do a fresh installation of my graphic driver, well done.

Since it's not a game bug > I will move to troubleshooting, moving ...
