Mind you the "Slanted LCD" mod do create small LCDs, I found that out after posting this. It's sufficient for my needs.

after you set up your basic timer 1 sec, run program, start timer,
just name your lcds (or tex panels) as the following [LCD]
then anything you put in the public/private text will make different things show up on the lcds.
A large ship block is equivilent to a 5x5x5 cube of small ship blocks.
(Small ship blocks are 0.5m, large ship blocks are 2.5m.)
