Just let it run for a bit longer, worked for me.
1. Open the commandline screen (Execute > CMD) then write "net stop wuauserv" (Without the quotes)
2. Press the windows button and write %windir% then press ENTER.
3. Rename SoftwareDistribution into SDold.
4. Open the commandline screen (Execute > CMD) then write "net start wuauserv" (Without the quotes again)
5. Install .net framework 4.
6. Start Space Engineers.
7. ???
8. PROFIT !
7 and 8 are obviously optional, even though I love the 8th point. ;)
