I keep getting this error and the server restarts infinitely. I sent in an email hoping to get some sort of answer. But got nothing in return.
System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file 'C:\Users\the_s\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineersDedicated\SpaceEngineersDSGUI_20240115_165026324.log' because it is being used by another process.

Hi, you should report directly to the SE Programmers so they can help you.

Ok I opened a ticket.

Hi, I did some testing recently and found the solution to this. You must install the game so that the Microsoft VC redistributable installer included can install the proper dependencies into the host system. You can uninstall the title from the host machine afterwards.

I created a response to this issue on KEENs website linked below. I requested that they provide the exact items this installer calls for.

Hey, I've got the same problem, but i did not get what you did. I can't find an included MS VC installer in the gamefiles, or where schould i look for it?

Almost one year old discussion for another game version, the game is not the same today and I strongly recommend to contact the SE Prgrammers waitng to help on the Official SE Support portal.

Tho I strongly recommend to contact the SE Programmers working on the game you may try the Forum/Community workaround(s) in the pin, it's all the important to do first when having game problems, also contains solutions shared by players able to fix all sorts of problems.
