Space Engineers Slow motion simulation speed bug
Almost all multiplayer online servers i join i get around 0.30 simulation speed. things in general is very slow to do.
It is mostly client based aswell as people on my server gets diffrent simulation speeds.
Check yours ingame with shift+f11 and see.

If you got 0.50 speed and your enemy has 1.00 he basically will go twice as fast topspeed as you. and bailing i not an option even if your only in your suit.

I understand this mechanic is to force everyones game to run smooth. but it is VERY unfair in pvp and should not affect your top speed.

It is also bugged because even if im out in nowhere i get 0.30 speed and i have 60 fps. that makes no sense.

No it doesnt. I set max objects to 65 (down from 1024 I used to be able to run) and view distance is now down from max to 20 and it still happens, go edit the save with SEToolbox and there are tons of floating object, over 200 the last time I spent 20 minutes drilling through an asteroid.

To the devs: use antennas as area loaders and this issue might be solved. The trash will just fall into an unloaded area and it at least will not be a constant issue.

Last night sim speed was 0.10 on one server. At 104ms it was moving like it was 4ms

I highly doubt SE toolbox does anything on a public server :D

Just thought it might be relevant because of the similarities of the problem. I have migrated that save between solo, friends allowed, dedicated server, and back to local friends allowed but it was local when I tried the fix.

If you got 0.50 speed and your enemy has 1.00*
if server simulation is 0.50 all player get 0.50 so its fair play ether way .just had to say
Whit that said. i hate slow simulator speeds:p hope its fixed sone

It's already 1.29, and this issue isn't fixed yet.

Some time there will come some brilliant mind who will make a brilliant mod that the keenSW fails to make, and will fix this issue. I dont think keenSW knows how to fix it.

Please hotfix this please. 0.07 sim speed on a server is too much and severely unplayable.

have you tryed space eng toolbox and deleeted objekts just floating around . like psawn ships?
helps whit me whit a clean up.. but .. still goes slow if 10 players uses refineryes :P hope for a fix to... if not its not realy playable on servers whit more than 10 players:p early acsess still so we can expect a finished game . but i hope this gets priority.

All I can do on my friends server is float and talk cause I can't move at 0.07 - 0.10 sim speed. It is insane please prioritize this please. And it is up to the admin of the server to delete trash.

Deleting something can't solve the problem, it can only delay the velocity of simulation speed decrease. In our server, we can build almost 90 larger/small ship per day, and certainly we suffered from the slow simulation speed. Even we deleted all the NPC SHIP and close the npc cargo ship, it won't work.

yeah . the game just cant handle that much it seems.i disabled rotors and projectors , semed to help a lot:) no problems since. but i gues its just a matter of time:P

GUYS! SOLVED IT !!!

The Simulation speed is (usually on 1.00) changed to (for me 0.63) approx. half pf it's natural because of moving BASE.. We had a really big base (6.700 blocks) and one of us rammed it with his ship > it started immediately to moving. THAT, causes that the speed is lowered so many times as the base or other "not allowed" objects are in movement. (yes, even bases like station are moving now).

Got a problem, server works fine for 10-15 min then sim speed downgrades to 0.01, after re login everything fine for 10-15 min again, we cleaned the server, decreased watch distance....no sense...(doesnt matter dx9 or 11)
