Conveyor tubes not downsizing for small ships.
As the title states they remain the same size as the ones on large ships. It just looks oh so great trying to hook them up to a small ship, they're only 4 wider larger than the machine your trying to hook them up to.

There are small conveyer blocks, but they can only pass ore and gases. If you trying to pass components then you have no choice but to accommodate large conveyer blocks.

That seems like a really stupid design then. Makes you have to make a small ship 10 times larger than it should have to be. Theres practacly no difference between moving a rock thats 3-10 times your size through those tubes as compared to moving components which are far smaller than that rock.

Don't know what your talking about. I found and tested the small conveyers and tubes. Passed components from one side of the ship to the other just fine. Still looks weird though with the supposed small ship stuff that is no smaller than a large.

Well technically some components are small enough to pass through small conveyer tubes, ie computers. It makes no sense to try to use small tubes if it won't work for all components. When you come back complaining that you can't move steel plates through your small conveyer system, be sure to tell me again that I don't know what I'm talking about.

Sadly to burst your bubble I've done it with pretty much every component. Even the larger ones like the radio component and detector componet. They probably made a update to them or something and you either missed it, or they didn't post it. Only other possibility is that your not hooking the tubes up to the right part of the cargo container or machinery.

Well you must be right then. I just checked my game and I can't pass a steel plate through a small conveyer tube and my small conveyer tubes are the size of a small armor block. I bow to your superior engineering skill on both of these points.

Sure you dont possibly have a sorter in between or or some machine that dissallows components to pass through it. I have small tubes and conveyers connected to the small ports on medium cargo containers. Nothing else is inbetween the connection.

you just said it there "Still looks weird though with the supposed small ship stuff that is no smaller than a large" you must be useing the standard size conveyer blocks there are smaller ones labeled "small conveyer ,tube, corner, ect.

this has been awnsered a while ago and no I ain't. I'm using the ones labled SMALL which are the size of a small armor block. The regular conveyors would not have fit on my planetary rover. And besides that was labled to the point of him saying that only the full size conveyors would accept components the it would of made a small ship larger than it should be. I never said anywhere in that post that I used full size conveyors in the end cause I'm not.

There, a screenshot of just right now.
To the left, two small conveyor tubes, to the right, two regular sized, all on a small ship grid. Also note the two different items (the normal-sized and the small conveyor tube) sitting on 6 and 7 in my hotbar.

If you get any different results using those on your game, it's specifically your game that's somehow bugged, corrupted or whatever you want to call it. Maybe a reinstall could help then (but I'm not sure about that as I never had that problem)

Also, just show in a screenshot you don't use the wrong ones. Select your small conveyor tube in your hotbar, hold it on your ship and make a screenshot, everyone will be able to see if you really use the right item.

Then if it's not working for any of you then it's highly possible one of my mods affects it. Don't rule out mods before you call it a bug. Also everyone needs to seriously stop commenting the same awnser over and over. It wont yeild a different response each time. I'm pretty sure I can tell size differences without a picture.

Oh sure, a mod could do it as well. I myself play without mods so I tend to forget them.
Also if you know you use mods, why didn't you tell so beforehand?

But even if you can tell size differences without a picture, we can't see what's different with your game without it. So for now people simply won't believe you or give you the same answer to the same problem with the same info given by you. That's just a logical result.

A I use 50 or so mods and who doesn't use them frankly.
B like I really know what all my mods do, over half of them were installed ages ago.
C As stated before being that I had no knowledge of all my mods I was left to assume it was vanilla game mechanics.
D this is the bug forum not the every body is asking for help forum.
F stop reopening the thread and let it die.
