There is 2 Windows 10 important pinned green messages that you could try too.
>>> Some Windows 10 users had to delete the SE ''ShaderCache'' folder to fix.
How to:
Type in your explorer: %appdata%\SpaceEngineers
Go to the SpaceEngineers folder
C: users / your username / appdata / roaming / spaceengineers
then delete the ''ShaderCache'' folder
-> Try the game
****
If nothing works > Share the log file please.
*Steps on how to share the LOG file :
it can be found here:
C:\Users\{YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\SpaceEngineers.log
or simply paste this into your Explorer:
%appdata%\SpaceEngineers
-> Post log file to www.pastebin.com (No account needed) and share the link here on the forum
Also, what exactly does the shadercache folder do? I don't think I should delete it again if it's important.
Don't worry about the ShaderCache folder because it will be remake (brand new) on loading.
May not copy the data properly in some Windows 10, so by deleting it you'll get a brand new one.

No LOG = No bug infos
You could share your computer specs tho, it will help;
Windows=Wondows 10
Processor=?
RAM=?
Video card name=?
Laptop=?
Installed RAM: 8.00GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GPU
Oh, and the laptop was from a while ago. Now I have a computer that I think can actually handle the game, an Alienware Alpha.
- RAM = OK, Windows 10 uses almost 2 Gb so 6 available for the game it's fine.
- Video card = I don't know ...
First video tuto on how to find the Graphic card name I've found with Google:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFTOBBDeZg0
Hope this helps.
If you have tried all the solutions on the forum, make sure you don't have an integrated graphic installed < this may cause graphic driver problems and the game may be using the integrated Graphic and the NVIDIA is not used. (we could verify this in the LOG file
- If you don't have an integrated graphic, the game will use the NVIDIA so no problems for that.
- The usual, make sure Windows updates are completed and the Graphic driver uptodate too.
- If all good >> I'll say, unistall the game and delete all remaining files/folder in appdata and in the SE Steam folder and Reinstall in a new dir.
>> So if you have more than one hard drive > install the game on the other hard drive to see if it's better.
^ Doing this will do a fresh installation of the game.
You may keep your Blueprint, saves and screenshot folder in the apdata if you don't want to lose any.
most tech sources for the Alienware Alpha are 1-2 years old, and Dell has virtually no details on the graphics.
As for the integrated graphics card, I haven't thus far found a way to see if I have one without taking apart the computer itself. It says in the DirectX Diagnostic Tool that I have an Integrated RAMDAC, but I don't know if that's related to the graphics card or anything. The Alienware Alpha supposedly doesn't have it, but I can't be sure. I looked into the SpaceEngineers folder, and in one of the folders it had the name of the graphics card in it, though, so it's probably using the NVIDIA. And no, I don't have two hard drives.
There IS apparently a windows update, and I'll try it again to see if that fixes it, however.
(EDIT:Even after restarting the computer, I can't get the update to install. It says that other updates are installing, though I don't think they are. It doesn't seem to have much to do with gaming, however.
Open task manager, before running the game. this will allow you to check your system resource usage when loading the game, and if it crashes/freezes, you can check the system load in the performance tab.
Start the game
set all video options to low/off (initially)
disable foliage.
disable oxygen, airtightness, hostiles, random encounters, and cargo ships.
That should reduce the memory usage, and CPU load.
With certain features enabled, it can easily eat up RAM on loading ( making loading times even longer) and spend more time shifting data between HDD and memory.
(In the latest dev build, my older worlds take significantly more time to load than previous builds.)
If you can get it to run on the absolute lowest settings, then try turning on/up one feature at a time, until it becomes unstable.
You also didn't specify if you were running the Beta release or the Dev Build.
This is my computer
Motherboard ASUS P7P55 LX
Intel Core i5 cpu 760 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz
RAM 8 Gb
Sys. Win10 Pro 64 bit
Graphics NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti
I have a I3 too and the simspeed drops a lot when playing in large worlds with ships and stations in. ''lag'' a lot > I have to load asteroids worlds, it's much better.
There is a NOTE on the Store Page tho, for the minimum > the planet version will not load and have to install the NO Planet version.
You could try to see if the game load better without planets.
How to install the NO planet version:
- Right click on Space Engineers in your Steam Library.
- Go to properties.
- Go to BETA tab.
- Choose the ''32bit, DX9'' version
-> try the game to see if it loads OK
