Ship inventory unavailable when trading
When connecting to a trade station with your ship with the trade function enabled on your connector, you still can't trade with the trade station using your ships inventory. I'm guessing the reason for this is that even though I own all inventory parts of the ship, I don't own some of the blocks of the ship. And these blocks are not configurable to set as me owning them without destroying them and rebuilding them.

I have a mod that auto uses materials in my ships inventory to rebuild the ship when it's damaged but when parts are rebuilt they are marked as unowned. I consider this mod to be essential and can't imagine playing the game again without it. Having to leave your ship and rebuild it every time it gets damaged has always been the worst part of the game imo.

Is there a way around this, or will I forever be soft locked from trading as long as I'm using this mod?

Hi, have tried by selecting all blocks and set ownership to Me (you) in Control panel of your ship first ?

Does not take long once we know the steps :

1 - Go to Control panel from ship Terminal.
2 - Select / highlight the first block or group on top of the left list.
3 - Hit Ctrl+A to select all blocks.
4 - Select "To Me" on the right side and click ok/save.
=
Doing so will tell you if it is a ownership problem.

The trade function isn't well documented. You don't need to turn Trade Mode on if you're trading with an NPC at their trade station. You can use trade mode on your ship/station when trading directly with another player to keep your ship and inventory safe.

Yes, I have done that. That is why I'm assuming it has to do with the armor blocks that are set to unowned. As far as I know, you can't change the ownership of those blocks without destroying and rebuilding them.

I see, I tried without having trade mode on, on the connector as well, but the items still didn't show in the sell menu

If you are using the Store Block and enter Sell mode, you'll have to click on the pull-down menu to the right, what cargo inventory you wish to access: you have your player's personal inventory OR a list of cargo blocks in your docked ship. You can only sell from one inventory at a time. You have to change which block inventory that you're dealing with. So it's a good idea to have anything you want to sell in one cargo block if possible (like a large cargo container).

Yes, I I've been doing that. I click the drop down button, click the cargo container from my ship, but none of the items in that container show in the sell menu.

I just went in-game to double check and I can select my character inventory or ship Cargos at Trade station Store with Trade enabled or disabled :

Went directly in the Cargo I have selected :

So make sure the Cargos are set to "ME" and you should be fine even if armor blocks are set to nobody.

Oh! Just enable creative mode from the admin menu Alt+F10 and copy/paste your ship, that is fastest way to do this and will avoid finding a Mod that will do the same job.

All blocks will be set to you on pasting.

EDIT
Blueprint it with Ctrl+B = much better than copy Ctrl+C
+
Delete the original to use the pasted one and just don't forget to disable creative when done.

In botth of those pictures you are on the buy menu, does it still work if you go to the sell menu? I'm trying to sell items from my ships inventory, not buy items to be placed in my ships inventory. Although it is showing the items in your ships inventory on the right, which it isn't for me so it's probably working correctly for you.

I only have about 5 mods installed on this save, and I tried to make sure they wouldn't interfere with the economy system. The only thing that I have that adds items is the eat, drink, sleep, repeat mod.

I'm currently at work so I can't give you the exact mods I have installed, but by tomorrow I'll post a list as a reply to this.

I did not verified when I sell, I will go try and feedback in a few ...

About Mods, it's very easy to know if it is a Mods problem, we just have to create a new world, all NPCs disabled but keep only economy so Trade station in, spawn on Tinan Drop Pod, open the Data Pad to save the GPS of the Trade station in.

Teleport your character there by using the Amdin nemu Alt+F10 to enable creative to teleport, paste your ship, disable creative when done and go test.

Testing done to sell = Same so I was able to sell Uranium ingots because it was listed.

Note
The only thing is that I don't see cockpit and connector inventory, I see only my character and Cargo containers.

Share your ship Blueprint, save it in your Workshop and paste the item link here, I will go test on my side.
