Mod managment become more tricky and more game-breaking the more mods and more complex mods you have.
EDIT: yes fils/folders position is not understandable! i dont know if it is Steam or the game, but even screenshots, mods you subscribe, scripts from ws, all things are incapsulated hidden away from you, and even if you change screenshot directory in steam option doesnt work for me, they still are hidden in the game root, some user data are in %appdata% and some in root dir, and in Documents where those things should be, there is nothing! lol idk why
It's a normal thing that happens when playing a game that keeps changing.
The last time this happened to me....I was on Triton. On a mountain top just outside of the green O2 zone so you needed a visor on but could gather O2 with a vent. I had a ordinary base with a big garage. Run down looking. But functional. But when you park in the garage and activate the elevator...the garage floor was visually looked like a floor but was a ship controlled by PAM script and took you down 4km below ground to a grand facility. It reminded me of Resident Evil with their secret bases. It was awesome. So much time was taken to make that. So many grids I never blueprinted. Just stop working one day.
Sometimes I feel like the saved game didn't even really error out or get corrupted but more or less refused to load because it wants to protect itself from crashing. And I wish I could tell it "Load Anyway" to confirm. IDK....I know a New game with the exact same mod list in the exact same order works. I am currently in it. But the one prior to this I was playing does not work nor does its 20+ backups. I was driving a rover. Had about 15km to go to get to my Ice mine. But the brand new game just created with the same exact mod list and order loads fine. What changed?? IDK but I guess it was my destiny to start a new game. I would have double the game time I have now if i didn't have to diagnose the game so often. Klangs name is Karen to me. Just sharing that random info
Thanks Dan. I realize this...I was just venting. Cause I wish they didn't change but added. Cause then....Old saves could use the old stuff and new saves could use the updated stuff. I got the room for it all...You know
I joke, welcome to all PS players :)
EDIT: HAHAHAHAHA
GAME-FU KILLED ME! nice!
and Merek says: we are not working on this at the moment, there is a mod for that!
Well! the player get the mod and play, save and go bed.
The day after the player load the modded game .... crush, bugs, glitches, corruption!
Merek: OPS!
lol
It truly does.....Its a gift and a curse. Cause I mean....they make the game better and take a load off the devs. Skyrim been going strong for what? A decade? GTA too. Modders are awesome. Just wish games had more options for saving data I guess. Like an emulator. In an emulator you can save game state. When you load that its as if you unpaused it. Its awesome. Big file....but awesome. I got the room. Hard drives are cheap anymore and a NAS has replaced my media bookshelf. I was there in a line getting a regular Nintendo brand new the day it came out. I damn near fainted when Mario went 64bit bro let me tell you. This was next level stuff. And now I can build a Resident Evil style base 4km under a mountain on a fictional planet in a ship I built. Despit my woes Dan.....This...Is....AWESOME!!!!! I just hate when my saves stop working cause data it did have before but some guy changed rather than add to it. But again Awesome. I hope I live to do a Full Dive. Let me know in the comments if you know the reference
Keen gave us LCD's. I appreciated those. I did. MMaster's Automatic LCDs gave us something to actually use them. He is doing gods work cause he did it for us. Freaking Legend. Nothing cheap about game dev. Gotta work on what you can with what you got. And then you might have to please investors and crap. A lot of games get unofficial patches and all that. Its an awesome time right now cause the communities keeps getting stronger and the kung-fu is getting up there.
