[BUILD] Rotating Landing Pads
I was pondering this a few hours ago and decided to do a quick make incorporating a design:

It dosen't really have any practical uses so far as I can see but I would like to improve on this. Any ideas how I can maximise the amount of ships stored on it?

I was thinking perhaps sticking another motor to go along the Y axis on the end of each one which stored more. You could also go for a more compact approach and make a barrel like entension on each of the arms instead of a pad and make something more like a landing tube. You could even put the landing tube around a walkway or a part of your ship.

suggestion on the use:
You can use it into a station (or vary big ship) have 4 ormore small ships using a single hangar door

I've now made a barrel and I was right , it almost doubles the amount of ships you can have on the pad at a time but it is much more difficult to land. kalec84 , the way I have just used may be better in your case , you can have 2 , maybe 3 at each door. If you had one big door , you could launch 12 ships , minimum , at a time through. At half the door size , covering half the barrel , you could still launch all 12 ships but it would be like a 4 ship burst. 4 ships go , wait for the next 1/4 rotation , launch another 4 , wait another quarter etc.

I've updated the workshop item with the barrel one so you can play with that. I think it is superior to the old one.

well, i will do that thinking to the possibility to be "boarded", with this method, there are less entrance that the enamy can use :) and the ship can be smaller and beter manouvrable :)

Hmmm that's a point I never thought of actually! Although a better idea for stopping boarders using a similar method might be to add another rotating part outside this rotating part which would cover parts momentarily.

I'm giving myself ideas now huehuehue
