Do you have an Intel Sandy Bridge architecture processor with integrated graphics processor?
Is the operating system listing only one graphics card?
seems i cant build verry large ships (memory problem) and if i place lights it gets verry laggggGi
other than that it works
you may look my workshop greations as you can see how big is possible with this card.
and my laptop even did run it with intel graphics untill i forced it to use nvidia card
Also @ka3ra, Have you used the large address aware patch on your game? Its an experimental patch for space engineers that makes it able to use more RAM, up to 3.3GB from 800mb.
Find it and instructions here: http://forums.keenswh.com/post/experimental-support-for-much-larger-worlds-6585613

GTX260 is not a terrible card, it should run this game pretty well, as far as I can tell.
