Projectors, timer blocks and stuff question-thing
Is there a way to activate a timer block which refers to parts of a blueprint?

I want to build a ship with a projector and launch a "start sequence" that grinds off the connected parts and starts a thruster. I can't access parts of the blueprint afaik so I can't launch the thruster. Only options I have found so far is to either have the thruster set to ON already when creating the blueprint or by having a timer block on that ship which starts the thruster delayed and creating a blueprint of that while the timer block is ticking.

well not really BUT - you can build a piston like pillar that moves upward on the bottom could be the projector with the constructed item- and then set a sensor at cerain height above that- so when the pillar gets high enough it get the sensor to activate the grinder

you might look here http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=361353661

there is a DUAL design there (kinda big made from large blocks with large welders and control chair on top) - which creates a torpedo - then moves it on piston upward - then at certian height the torpedo gets released and fly away - through "the gun port" you could get some ideas for a design of your own to suit your needs

as for the ON thrusters - i do so on my torpedoes - the BP has them on - and you can observe that on that design i was talkin about too :)

Not sure why I didn't think of using pistons to activate a sensor to activate a thruster. This is exactly the solution I was hoping for. Thank you very much :)

Aye glad to be of help :) - actually in my design the sensor was responsible for releasing the clamp the torpedo was mounted on - so it flew away since its engines were already actvie but yes the idea behind it is basically the same :)
