Lose faction/ownership upon leaving server
I've recently started up a new map for my friend and I since there were several updates to teh generation. Been bouncing a few maps because we would keep coming across maps that weren't spawning every material (we'd search each map for at least an hour before moving on to a new one). Just a couple days ago (right after the last update) we finally found a map that spawned every material, so we set up camp and planned on calling this home for a while.

While we were map hopping, any time my friend would DC he'd have to rejoin the faction upon rejoining the server. We didn't think anything of it then. But today I joined the server not to even be in the faction (it doesn't even show up on the faction list) and my beacon is no where to be found. I didn't have a med bay built for myself, but I was using my friends since we were part of the same faction. However he just joined the server to have the same problem. His Med bay is not accessable to him either. So it looks like along with Factions not retaining upon leaving, ownership is not being retained either.

I've already doubled checked through my settings and I see nothing outside of the ordinary. Is this a bug that we're experiencing or is there something I'm overlooking?

And before someone ask, resetownership is not checked.

I started a new server with permadeth off. I can play for a while, but when I log back on my ship is gone. When a friend logs off, the server considers him dead. When I or he logs back on, we have to respawn and re faction.

We haven't played since these issues came up. It seemed pointless having to start from scratch every single time we logged into the server. There's been a few updates since we last played, so its possible the issue may have been fixed, but I'm not sure.

=.= Simple checks in Advanced Menu when you create/load the world.

' Delete Respawn Ships '
' Reset Ownership '

Uncheck those...problems gone.

Because of how MP treats logout, the server admin needs to have permanent death off in order to prevent new "players" spawning every time you relog.

ok, thanks. one person said that users need to build a beacon? on a vanilla server?
I also had a friend's respawn ship dissapear while he was playing. Does that happen?

hers 3 simpel steps you need to take

1. joine server spawn in a respwn ship
2. grinde down zed ship and build a new med bay
3. never spawn in a new respanship

some servers run a clean upp script whitsh in turn delets any thing that has no cockpit/power/beacon ther are scripts that delete evry thing that dosent have a beacon need to check whit server admin for this info

one last question. If I leave the game, I need to respawn upon re-entering (in my medbay). Although I loose everything that was in my inventory.

ye need to empty char inv befor login off to not lose any thing

Good to know. I was used to minecraft servers, assumed SE worked the same way. Thanks everyone!
