Airtight Door Grouping
I looked around a bit and i couldnt find this... I need help... How do i Group airtight doors so that they open/close simotaniously. Im working on a space station and i have made a hanger, i really need this so that i can FINISH the hanger.

I found one more problem with the hangers... I setup the buttons but it wont close.. it just simply wont close. Why? is there a limit? i have a LOT of power on my station.

Go into a control panel, find the hangar doors you want. Select them (hold control and use lmb) once you have them all, over on the right, drop down menu make them into a group. Save the group!

Hope that helps (still need button/sensor/something to trigger them)

If you use mods and have different types of air tight hangar doors, you might have to make each type a separate group, then link them all to a timer. Then you can have a button or sensor or whatever activate them all at once. If they are all just the vanilla blocks, then do what the first guy said.

Are you sure you selected Open/Close rather than On/Off?

Also for OP. If like me you made an airlock with inner/outer doors, place/build an antenna then click on the first door in the control panel list. Then find the last one and shift+click to select them all, turn "show on HUD" to on so you can see which doors are which and group them accordingly.

Sounds like an ownership issue to me. If you're playing in creative, make sure you are the owner of the button panel. Objects on a grid will not interact properly if the ownership isn't set up right.

Is yours a mixed group of blocks, or all blocks of one type?

Usually this happens when you accidentaly add something that is not a door to the group, all objects in a group need to be the same type of object for the options to show correctly

Percisely what I was checking for. Go over that group twice, and look for anything that snuck in like an interior light or another block group.

Also, make sure everything is owned by you (the button you are pushing, all the doors, etc... really easy, display all hidden items ctrl+a the list, set ownership to you)

What would cause the game not to group them. Right now I haven't been able to make an airlock at all cause the game seems to refuse to highlight the targets I would like to group
