Are blast-door (hand-made) airlocks airtight?
Gave SE a loooong break. I haven't downloaded an update since just before the "infinite space" update, and I saw that they've finally added atmosphere.

However, judging from LSG's videos, it looks like there aren't many options for keeping an area airtight except by using the standard doors. (Even the rock walls of asteroids aren't recognized as solid, apparently)

I'm assuming anything I build, door-wise, is going to leak like a sieve, but I was wondering if anyone had tested it with sliding blast doors yet?

Might hold off for a while longer until it gets some more kinks worked out and they put more "scenarios" into the vanilla game.

Doors made out of blast door blocks are not air tight.

However, the hangar doors are.

You're either sealed up or not. And different grids cannot be used to seal up anything. That's why they introduced the Airtight telescoping parts.

XD I -just now- saw that...somehow I missed that video where he showed off the sealable doors. I'm a maroon, lol. Thanks though.
