1.) Rock Shotgun.
2.) Concrete block mod.
3.) Make an emancipation grid mod.

Please choose number three and share it with us all.

Eject a bunch around a spherical grav gen, powered using solar panels reactors magic due to lack of contact with exterior sources (unless u r clever), and make a gravel planet!

50 connectors, a few dozen grav gens and a setting to eject and you can harrass passing cargo ships with your garbage.

First thing to do is not collect that much stone, easy way to avoid this is by using the alternative drill mode on your right mouse, when you do that asteroids are drilled but also destroyed (remove the surface and grab the candy inside).

Second is as some have suggested to use a sorted ejector/connector that toss the rock out into space.

If you are worried about to many floating objects it is possible to clean this without mods, when to many rocks are generated the oldest one is removed, if you make a object generator at base that tosses out 10-500 stones (depending on how many is needed) that after it all has been ejected it is then re-collected it basically does a modless cleanup.

There also exist alternative uses for it all as a weapon, most often as a railgun ammo, be warned tho, most railgun systems in SE are inherently dangerous and have almost as much potential to destroy your own base or even blow up when the ammo/rock is loaded.

Since i'm set to 256 objects, i guess i can use the gravity mode one and eject them into oblivion, the game should make them 'begone'.

Now i've been wondering if big grinders could destroy those... could make them get ejected into the grinders, no?

Setting max objects to the lowest amount and just ejecting them out would work too, right?

I've a feeling that thruster damage can destroy floating objects. Make a space fire pit.

Grinders won't destroy ore, unfortunately.

Someone please confirm that, as grinders really didnt work.

A not very creative way to get rid of stone, my view, you spent fuel to get it so you may as well get something back, of course it's a mod but to my mind the balance is spot on.

Concrete would be best, as it would be stronger than steel. In fact make Concrete and Reinforced Concrete.
Vargali Jun 1, 2015 @ 6:01pm
concrete is a good choice..not sure if it counts as air tight though...but it is thruster resistant, and does take damage from weapons, espesially missiles.. so its balanced...

Use conveyor sorter and whitelist Stone Ore only. Run it to an ejector or connector set to collect all and throw out.
It will get rid of the stone for you.

^This. Works even better when mounted on the mining ships. This way you can dump the stone while deployed, and never take anything you don't want back to the station.

Add a gravity generator to help clear the debris faster. It is an extra benefit to building miners with large ship blocks.

+1 for creating an asteroid out of it

Yep. I set mine to 32 to avoid having to manage the save as often. When I eject stone into a hole in an asteroid I can watch them disappear when too many get out into space.
