Does Station Size Matter For Oxygen?
So I'm building a massive station, and my Oxygen vents are telling me that my station is not Airtight. So I blocked off all Slopes, Corners, and Inverted Corners as well as the Merge Blocks that hold my station together. My Vents still say Not Pressurized, so I thought that maybe the large open area, a room of 40x40x20, is the problem. Either that or the door mod I'm using... Either way. Doe this wide open space not count as a Pressurized Room?

Size will affect how long the area takes to pressurize and depressurize, but it won't affect whether or not it seals.

I would consider any and all mods to be suspect, and worth investigating.

As far as i'm aware there isn't a limit on the size of the area you can have airtight so long as its sealed and you have adequate ice to turn in to air to fill it,

I have a pressurized hanger thats about that size if not a little bigger. my hanger is a solid heavy armour box with detailing added inside and vents in the walls I think I have 4 vents but I dont think it matters about the number.

i use sektans doors to provide a seal between the hangar and the rest of the station, the part that opens to space is actualy 2 doors(kinda) on the inside is a forcefield and the outside is airtight blastdoors.

no air gets out that hanger.

Its more to do with placement of your oxy tanks on a large build . Don't build just one big room full of tanks to store oxy as it takes longer for it to travel through the system..instead build an oxy geny room but have the tanks spread around throughout you build (hidden behind walls or in the ceilings) that way you will find you pressurize much faster.

in regards to the door mod you are using, it may be that mod is not airtight..just remove it and build a standard door to test. If you still get the problem then you know its not the door !

Have you any window blocks forming shapes (other then flat walls surrounded by other non window blocks), when they join they are not always air tight. You could build temp walls to test smaller areas of the room to localise the problem (and double check its not room size).

idk I have 5 farms on my utility ship. They kept the bridge pressurized until I expanded it into one of the wing areas and now it will very slowly bleed pressure if I turn all the tank to stockpile and the generator off.

If your helmet is off, it's YOU comsuming the oxygen. If your room isn't sealed the room will loose its oxygen almost instantly. So put your helmet on and there shouldn't be any oxygen loss at all.

Vent light blue when depressurized and yes, helmet on. Size does seem to have something to do with it in my game. Unless there can be small leaks that the vent cannot detect. However 18 farms will keep a single room pressurized on my mom with my helmet off no problem.

Well, thanks to everyone who commented. Found out it's just the size. Took out the doors and replaced them with just blocks for testing and covered every possible angle until the room was just a big empty block. Still says it's not pressurized. And since there are no windows, don't need to worry about that. I think it's just the room size. But thanks Midnight storm for the Tank idea. I'll be certain to do that.

if you still can't get it to work right then perhaps its a bug. might have allready been posted in known bugs list but if not then worth posting yourself.

when in doubt use oxygen farm to only charge your tanks. pretty useful on multiplayer where the tank will charge even when you're away.

there's no shame in setting aside one small room for pressurization. you don't need O2 in every compartment of your station.

for what it's worth, catwalks are good at making gaps airtight. windows too.

I have experienced the same issue. It is caused by the volume of the area to be pressurized being too huge, not that it isn't sealed. I suggest pressurizing the smaller rooms like control rooms or other commonly visited areas instead of the whole ship, which saves time, oxygen, and power.
