LCD Ideas?

I'm willing to make whatever you want, as long as it can be found on Google Images, isn't 'adult' or offensive material, and I can find a good picture. You could even send me one if you want. Prefferably something I can do for the normal panels, as I haven't mastered making it work with both normal and wide panels yet, just normal, but I'll try my best either way. I'll most likely pack them up with five texures to a pack for convinience.

So, what do you want for your LCDs? Flags? Funny pictures of kittens? Motivational posters? A single orange? Whatever you want, I'll try my best, so post your ideas below!

Edit: I don't know what alpha maps are or how to incorperate them into my LCDs, but I've been told I should. So if anyone knows what that is or how to do it, that'd be great, because it's not in the guide.

The List.

So completed, I have:

-My original LCD mod, with real-life stars, nebulas, and a galaxy
-My Pug's Stars collection, which is 20 random SE star textures
-My nebula tile mod, which is 2x3 LCD picture of a nebula-like thing in the vanilla SE skybox
-Microorganism slides/textures

My current projects are:

-Flags, both current and WWII (both Axis and Allies)
-The US presidents
-Some SE Asteroids (possibly with fake overlayed scanning text)
-Some signs
-Metals stock exchange LCD
-Some Starship Trooper poster LCDs
-Another tile project with SE stars
-Misc. SE stuff (mostly textures of my ships, because I want to)
-Misc. other stuff, including some random images I want and two community requested images (seperate)

Possible future projects include:
-Real life planets/celestial bodies, though there's already a few of those mods floating around
-Movie posters
-TV show/cartoon pics/makeshift GIFs (if I can do it)
-Restaurant/food signs
-Some more signs (Armory, drone bay, etc.)
-Superhero icons/symbols
-Store signs
-Targets (inculding Justin Beiber)

Anything to add to the list?

i want to be able to link the LCD's to a camera, transmit a feed in game, for a security room or drone control center

Also, that's why I thought I'd maybe make a pack of WWII flags or something, though anything but the Nazi one should be fine. I could at least argue then that it was in for history reasons or whatever. And besides, I've wanted to make that kind of thing for a while now. Nothing like space dogfighting Space Nazis!

I do believe that people hating on the swastika is unfair, for one, its a religious cross that means humility and why should we let one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in history ruin that?, also, hating on it gives it the negative power it has, maybe if more people laughed at gamers and punks using the symbol instead of berating them, then it wouldnt be taken as seriously?i mean for christs sake the crusaders slaughtered israeli's by the hundreds and noone looks at a cross the way they do a swastika

Yeah... That's something from 500+ years ago. The Swastika, and the last person who wielded it... there are still people alive who saw it go down. Maybe best not to trivialize it just yet.

I'm not intentionally trivializing it, just remarking how people lend ridiculous amounts of power to a SYMBOL, in a day and age when you see characters in movies and tv who will make fun of the Man behind the symbol by wearing his iconic mustache,, and in the general populace people are less willing to wear his style of facial hair then they are that same symbol, and despite the crusades being so long ago, noone ever looked at that cross (in mainstream) with anything like the negativity they gran this more modern one, but i digress, just exploring what-ifs

ok first of all, the Nazi swaztika the arms point to the right. in any other culture that has used the swaztika emblem they all point to the left. i just wanted to point that little tidbit out. but yes its unfair that the Third Reich completely pigeon-holed the swaztika as a whole.

and as for punks, that was a very ignorant thing to say. as a teenager in the early 90's i was a punk (i still listen to punk rock) and never once did i EVER brandish a swaztika, what you are refering to is a Nazi Punk or Neo-Nazi. so please don't give punks a bad wrap like that :)

@rebellionmarch ... its not the Emblem itself but what it represents and all the horrific inhumane things that are associated with those ideals.

Heh, that would be cool, but alas I can't actualy mod, just put images in as textures for the LCD panels. Seems like something someone else would have already done if it was possible though.

And about the swastika thing... to me, it's just a symbol. Perhaps it is associated with the Nazi party/Nazi Germany (or at least the Nazi one is), but even if you do look at the history behind it, I believe it should be embraced instead of avoided. In otherwords, the people and acts related to it may have been terrible, but the symbol should be used to remind us of those things because of thier importance, not shunned because of it.

And therefore I am willing to make it, weather it gets removed or not. Because as I see it, it's not offencive, it's history. But maybe that's just me.

And besides, I still don't know if they mean that one anyways.

much respect to you Pug, i'm part German so i know what you are talking about in reference to it being historical. again though i will point out that the Nazi version of the symbol is different from the ones from other cultures.

and just saying, but it does still represent facism, ask any Jewish person and they will tell you. but that aside i look forward to some new LCD textures :)

Yeah, I'm probably going to wait to start any more projects until I get most of the stuff I have to do done first. At least the presidents and the flags; those are going to take the longest.

Still taking requests for future projects though!

something every one loves ! POSTER! you could do one for everything (even the stupid ones) like sponge bob to metallica... ac-dc to tech n9ne... buddy holly to miley cyrus... if it had enough variety (assuming u are making it into a mod) and enough pictures it could be a very popular mod, maybe even make multiple mods, and eventualy you could do movie posters, tv posters, animals, memes, comics, musicians, actors etc...

what teeny bop doesnt have a picture of... one direction justin beiber... stephan jerzak in their room? what guy doesnt have show girls, rock posters and motorcycle or nice car posters in their room? you could make this fit everyones needs really simply... me i think a fake world image would be awesome like as if the earth is right outside your ship
