My Movement Is "stuttering"
Iv'e been having a problem with one of my worlds since the update last week (01.073) that I hadn't previously had before. Sometimes when I move my player or ship through certian areas, they seem to go into slow-motion. This is definetly not a preformance issue as I checked using both the Steam and Fraps FPS counter (I had a constant 40 FPS or so), and I've already tried to deleate random bits and bobs floating around uselessly (like extremely small ships or peices of uncollected ore) with SEToolbox. This issue really bugs me, please help!

Please use the new thread in the bug reports section for any further inquiries related to this topic

Did you use SE Toolbox to delete things? Looks like you might have accidentally lopped the end off that piston, thinking it was a junk ship...

I found that glitch in every exploration findding besides my very own stuff.

I thought exploration ships weren't allowed pistons and rotors? I honestly don't know, haven't done much derelict-hunting myself.

The devs said we shold try to avoid them, the rules are more guidelines.
I've seen small ships that exceed the triangle limit by far (small large ship with more than 200000)

It's the third in this list, it has piston doors too.

Re pistons and rotors on exploration ships, I also found several broken exploration ships last night , they were all missing piston tops and anything that was attached to them. Quite a few of the exploration finds have pistons and/or rotors, and they all cause issues in on way or another, that cookie monster thing (got nothin nice to say about that) will spit out all piston mounted gear if you travel at anything other than a crawl, there's a welder grinder combo with grinders welders mounted on a rotor either side, this ship too will destroy itself at any sensible speed, usually taking the cockpit with it.
And while we're on about exploration ships, I'm disappointed in the number I have found that totally ignore the Keen guidelines, and the number of ships that aren't survival ready, in that you can't fuel them up without grinding chunks out to find a reactor

I am not against hard to refuel ships it makes it harder to steal. Regarding Keens limits I think a little bit more triangles are not game breaking because the red ship has more than 350000 triangles but that coockie monster thingy is way over the top.

So are you guys saying it's the exploration ships causing the OP's stuttering?....Ahem! :p

No, I only deleted things that contained less than 5 cubes, so this is definetly a glitch.

Still no fix after 3 weeks

I found my stuttering problem by deleting random things in SEtoolbox, but I found that I had accidently created a "infinite" loop with sorting blocks, once I fixed my sorting block loop..it works without a hitch.

That's why threads like this belong under bug reports, in hopes they'll read em. I find most of the time they read mine.

Ive noticed this as well, i can tell its happening when the sound of my footsteps doesnt line up with my running, when it happens, i save exit and reload, upon reloading i hear all of the noises that the game was waiting for (footsteps engines turning off etc) play in the course of a second stacked on each other, and the game is smooth for another hour or two

i found the welder grinder advanced rotor flip combo myself, parked it in my ship with a gravity engine and fly around with that thing at 105.1 meters a second and it has no troubles
