Instructions for running dedicated server through Azure Virtual Machine?
Anyone know how to do this? We've been trying to set one up for 2 days now, and the thigns won't appear on the List, and it says "Server not responding". When we try and do the Direct connect through a Shortcut (steam://connect/[SERVER ADDRESS HERE]:[PORT HERE]), it says the Server is not responding. The guy doing the setup says he can't even ping the server. anyone what what to do, or what we need to know to do what we need to do? (ROFL).

I have no clue.
Wish I knew also.
Anyone at all!?
Hi - same Problem here. Ping does not work because ping is disabled on a higher level.
I've also configured the endpoints in the portal:
Microsoft Azure --> <VM Name> --> Settings --> Inbound security rules

I can send and receive network packages through a 3rd party tool on the port I'm using but the game does not show and I can't connect to it.

No luck so far.

Hey Guys, I am an Azure Architect for a living and can help you set this up if you are still looking for information. Feel free to shoot me a message and we can go through it. I have been thinking about making a video tutorial as well but can help in the mean time.
I'm trying to do this, and have a vm 2016 setup, os firewalls setup with pinholes, port inbound rule setup and no response from the vm server running se. as with chalice, a psping on 3389 shows a response, but on the 27016 port I get nothing.
the dedicated server.exe runs up and shows connected to steam and running correctly
@BilboFragginz Any chance you made that video tutorial?
@BilboFragginz hey me and a friend are trying to set up a modded server through Azure but we keep getting the same issue
