Increase max speed mod?

My friend had a mod that increased the max velocity of the ship to 250 or something. Anyone know they name of the mod?

theres at least 50 speed increase mods in the workshop, all you have to do is search for it. theres even a few that increase max speed to 1000 m/s ... utterly ridiculous lol.

There are several mods that do it. I use my own (with custom skybox and dark shadows), but it doesn't increase the speed to ~250 but to ~200.

If you want it for single player, then all you need to do is copy "Content/Data/Environment.sbc" file from the game's installation directory into "%APPDATA%/SpaceEngineers/Mods/<your_chosen_name_of_the_mod>/Data" directory and modify inside it values of "<SmallShipMaxSpeed>" and "<LargeShipMaxSpeed>" parameters.

Note that the file also defines the skybox and light/shadows, so if you use some skybox mod it's better to clone its file instead of the game's file, if you want to keep the custom skybox / light$shadows settings from that mod.

I like the mod Ludacris Speed. Judging by the name of the mod it sounds like it would be a huge boost to the speed but its really not, it pretty much doubles the max speed instead of some of the 500+ m/s mods.

I personally use a mod that increases the speed to 500. It's a nice middle ground I feel, but you can't have any rotors or pistons on your ships. Once you reach speeds of 400+ you run the risk of your ships pistons and rotors freaking out and blowing holes in your ships. At speeds of 500+ your ship essentially becomes a ticking time bomb if it's got rotors or pistons.

Search for ShipSpeed500. Thats the one I use, though there are tons others. Some people have commented on that one saying it doesn't work but thats false, I've used it for ages.
