How do I run a Scenario on a hosted server?
I've been trying to figure out how to run Lost Colony on a hosted server. It's easy to do on a dedicated server with the server manager software. Anyone know how to do it on a rental?

All googling comes up with for me is dedicated server info.

A quick examination shows that the dedicated server includes all the scenario and related files in the installation, so it should be as simple as starting the scenario on a local system, saving it, then upload the save to the server in place of an existing world save. It should be quick and simple to see if it works as expected.

I know little of scenarios and less of hosted server. Might help if the name of the hosting server company is known. It doesn't help that I think the definition of 'scenario' may be a bit murky.
Here is a guide I found on Nitrado, but it seems to be about changing easy-start games which are probably not scenarios.
I've seen that guide from Nitrado in my search for a how to. Yes, it's for easy start games, not scenarios such as Lost Colony, Lone Survivor, etc.

The host is g-portal. I don't think that info matters because the steps and settings I need to know are probably settings in config files.

I was over-complicating things. It was as easy as making a local save and uploading the files. Dipped by Rox again :P lol!

Thank you, Rox!

Hi Jack Schitt,
been a long time since I tried but I never created new world from the Dedic, I always create the world local offline mode and copy/paste all to the Dedic and I can tell that works very well.

EDIT
I setup and test local and set Public once all tested OK.

I'm not running a dedicated server I'm renting a hosted server.

Ok so we can't copy/paste on rented server ?

We can, Rox suggested that and it worked. I have it running now.
I thought the process of getting it going on a rented server would be different. It is not different.

Great! Good to know we can copy/paste.

One possible additional factor to consider that may be relevant for some of the scenarios... if the server is configured to keep running when no players are connected (pause when empty option) then some resources may continue to be consumed which could impact the gameplay sooner than you may expect. I'm not sure which if any of the stock scenarios this could impact.

Possibly Lone Survivor? Maybe.
I'll be running Lost Colony and Frostbite after we finish Lost Colony.
