Crashes when loading in?
so about yesterday i wanted to play SE and its really weird. the game starts up just fine but when i load in the game i get stuck in the loading screen for like 30 seconds after it reaches 100% and after that when i click "earth" and i try to spawn in it just takes like 5 minutes. and after that the game crashes saying that my drivers may be outdated (trust me i checked) or something else about my GPU overheating when it was at a nice cool 45C. can anyone help? i tried verifying the game files, restarting my PC, manually starting it but nothing worked. the only thing i havent tried is deleting my mods to see if it interferes with anything.
(i only checked on the star system map but i doubt any other maps will be different)

Hi, that can happen when we modify the game files with Mods and happens more after a game update because some Mods always need to be updated to the new game version.

Here are the steps we all do after a game update to find the mods that are not compatible and need to be reported.

How to test a world or find broken conflicting Mods :
1 - Select your save.
2 - Click the "Save as" button on the left.
3 - Change the save name to create a *copy.
4 - Add and Withdraw one Mod at a time in the copy.

5 - Report to the Mod author (on WS item page) when broken Mod found so he can fix/update his Mod, always very kind to let them know.

*copy
Never test with your original save, better create a copy and fix the original save when solution found in the copy, this way you will not mess up your save.
+
Never open original Modded saves after a game update.

Hello, we have a teeny tiny issue. i removed all my mods one at a time and it still didn't work. i even deleted all of them (i dont really use them anyway so its not an issue). i am currently re-installing the game to see if that will fix it.
Dan2D3D  [developer] Dec 9, 2024 @ 8:57am
That Modded save may be "Broken", that can happen after removing the Mods because some Mods delete and replace important code lines in the save files that are not added back in when we remove the Mod.

-> Best to test in brand new created world to have the frist Clue as to know if it is broken save files.

Is it the same in brand new created no Mods world all on default settings ?
Dan2D3D  [developer] Dec 9, 2024 @ 9:00am
To specify :

-> No need to reinstall the game if all good in new created Vaniilla world, it just means that it is broken in only one specific save.

Ok so the first Clue = Same in brand new created no Mods world.

You may try fresh install by following the "Safe Steps" in the Pin, scroll down to title

Strange cause should be OK after a fresh install, maybe share the PC specs with game graphic and monitor Res.

Copy/paste the Steam "System information", it's in "Help" on top of your Steam app, click on it, let it detect your PC and copy/paste all in here, that will give some basic info.

Just copy/paste all in Steam "System information", it's easier this way.

May be best to have a chat with the ones working on the game, they may know something I don't that will help you or they will have to fix/update the game to run in your PC so worth to contact them.

How to have a SE Programmer testing the Bug for you and tell you what is going on :

-> Click "Submit Bug" or "Request help" on the Support Portal to have a SE Programmer testing the bug for you and be able to chat with you.

+ About the Graphic used :

Extreme graphic settings is more for screenshots competions and not made to play.

= I strongly recommend to try Default High and Default Medium to see if that will withdraw the crash.
