Note
We can use a connector as ejector to eject bigger amount of stones in same time, so place a Sorter on the connector port, whitelist "Stone> and set the connector on "Collect all"+"Throw out".
Here is the basic setup we use to empty the mining ship :

Use it to create a second conveyor line that will eject.
Must create 2 separate conveyor lines :
Drills ------ + conveyors + Sorter on the container port to Blacklist stone.
Drills -----<
Drills ------ + conveyors + Sorter on ejector to Whitelist stone.
-> Must set the Sorter on "Drain ALL"
so it will drain what you've added to its Whitelist. (edited)
This is for small grid only, as far as I know, but it's an option to consider.
Setup is basically the same, set the sorter to 'Drain All' and whitelist stone only. You can then simply turn on the ejectors when you need to get rid of stone.
I just learned recently:
On a small grid, you can get away with only 1 sorter and multiple ejectors.
If you turn your sorter to Drain All, you get only the capacity if the sorter, thus requiring many of them. Do not set DRAIN ALL to Sorters.
If you run all your ejectors through 1 sorter, then there is no capacity limit for it. Just set your EJECTORS to Drain All, and Throw Out.
I used to build my mining ships with a bunch of sorters, and equal amount of ejectors. Now, I just use one sorter. Saves a tone of space. (and resources and PCU)
