Using a mouse and keyboard, to build a large number of the same blocks quickly, the user can press and hold Ctrl and use the left mouse button, or Ctrl + Shift to quickly build a plane of blocks. Does that ability exist with the Xbox controller?

Press the RT on your controller and it will bring up the secondary radial menu. On the BUILD options, there's a toggle that lets you choose SINGLE BLOCK, LINE, or PLANE.
