Well, i did not play Rust, but i guess it's more like minecraft in space. Only with voxel "terrain".

so there is no servers you an join with more than 10 people in playing around? and thanks for getting straight to the point alot of steam players just talk utter rubbish.
There are no servers yet, the dedicated server client has not been released, so every game server is running on the same server as one of the players. There are a few acceptions were people have bought a second copy and running it on a spare machine, but the game is currently set upto limit the number of players assuming that they are running in on one of the players machines.
Once dedicated server clients come out and the game gets some performance enhancements larger groups of player will be possible.
