Grinders...use conveyor system??????
Why....exactly.....are my grinders not moving things down to storage? I have use conveyor system checked, I have verified my inventory boxes are all connected continuously to all grinders....and....still....everything is remaining stored in the grinders...why...dear gods why isn't it moving? Must I micromanage it in there?

This may or may not help, but do you have the "conveyer" cube attached to the grinder(s), rather than the conveyer tube section? I've read somewhere that the tube sections can't pull or push items into the conveyer system.
Although I'm beginning to think there is a bug in conveyer system, my drill setup that was working fine before is not moving contents to storage either.

Can confirm. My mining ship no longer pushes mined stuff through conveyers. My scrap yard no longer pushes stuff captured by collectors.

It all just stays in the drill or collector or grinder.

The update vid specifically shows them connecting a grinder to a conveyor tube to a conveyor and then to a large container, but this also does not work for me. However grinding a ship to nothing but components in minutes is worth this minor bug, that I'm sure they'll get worked out.

ah, okay, yeah i'm getting same issue... can still go into inventory and move stuff manually, but so tedious....

This was annoying me as well. So I jumped on youtube to see if there were any clues. One mentioned that grinders will transfer to cargo if you have them turned on in the control panel, instead of using the tool bar.

Haven't tested it yet, but it's going to be annoying using my station to grind things as I have a pit with 54 of them.

My grinders work either way, toolbar or panel. I have a conveyor hooked to the back of the grinder, tubes to the large storage unit, conveyor coupling the tube to the storage. The side hatches of the grinders permit flow through multiple grinders to the conveyor.

Maybe you have to turn "Use conveyor" on for the grinders from the control panel

They've stopped working for me too. Use conveyor is on by default. Stuff is just hanging around in the drill and grinders unless you turn them on individually via the control panel options. I have 890 grinders on my scrapping ship, and 357 drills on my miner. I am not going to be turning them on one at a time. I think they will fix doors and the conveyor issue pretty soon. Not too worried about that.

Just tested my setup. I had Use Conveyor on, and tried toggling it. Also tried turning on all of my grinders and they aren't transfering to the containers.

I'll just refrain from using it for now. Hopefully it'll be fixed by next friday, really want to grind up the solar panels on the ship I have sitting near my station.

turning grinders on in the menu does indeed work, but thats slightly annoying for many drills if you dont want to leave them running. A collector and connector chain WILL pull out the bits and pieces from the grinder though, fully automatic and minimum effort.

I tried turning them all on in the menu and they didn't transfer for me.
Before that I also tried a collector and connector, and everything sat in the collector.

Sounds like something is wrong with my setup, or there is some sort of bug happening.

quite frankly we're seeing the glaring issues with the conveyor system. With ore it was a non sequitor. Ore was considered valuable if a refinery was on the chain, and it yanked it right to where it needed to be. But bits and bobs have no such value, and the glaring lack of "default pull to inventory boxes" AI coding means everything remains stuck in the bits unless a connector is actively searching and yanking. Even still though if you make a connector to collector chain it all just winds up stuck in the collector, because nothing cares where it goes...and inventory boxes are not set to default pull objects.

I'm still seeing issues with the conveyor system and a grinder on my small ship. I have the grinder connected to a conveyor with a conveyor tube, and the conveyor connected to small containers, also using conveyor tubes. The tubes light up green, indicating to me that they are working, but nothing can be moved from grinder to cargo containers, even manually through the inventory. The grinder is on and toggled to use the conveyor system.

However, I do not see the conveyor in the control panel. Do conveyors show up here? I'm confused.

i have had no issues with either the grinder nor drill. checked to make sure that the tubes have yellow lights? for reference i use a conveyor in between the tool and the cargo container no tubes

To move most components you'll need to use the Large Conveyor blocks/tubes. Small tubes can only move things like Ore, Ammo, and a few smaller parts. Make sure the large 3x3 doors are lined up for the entire system.
