So you'll have drills--->conveyor/tubing---->collector/connector.
Basically tubes are for straight sections, conveyors for corners and always have a conveyor at your drill access panel. the tubes should change their light cxolour from red to a yellowy green if they are connected properly.
Once you're drills are full to your needs, go over a placed set of collectors on your platform that is attached to your main base via a similar conveyor system. Then drop off your goods by accessing your control panel while in your ship and setting your collectors/connector to throw out.
You should then see all your stuff flying out the back & into your main system.
Small note:Remember to close your collector/connectors before you start mining or you'll crap your stuff all over the place in the process!! lol...
Hope this makes sense :)
Your small mining ship needs to have a connector at the end of it's conveyor line. Then you need a collector attached to any of the input doors on your refinery.
Drill(s) -> Conveyor/Tubing -> Cargo Container (optional) -> Connector
You only want to turn the connector on once you're in position above the collector. The collector you can leave on all the time if you want.
Some people have done a collector that then uses a conveyor/tubing system to split over multiple refineries, but I haven't gotten it to divide the ore properly yet. I just keep it down to one collector per refinery.
The way I do it, the conveyors can handle two drills as it accepts input/output from any face. Collectors only 1.
So while both methods probably work fine, I believe mine is more efficient.
