Conveyor Basics for those confused...
Others feel free to add to this...

Where ever possible, use a conveyer "tube" for straight runs and plan ahead how the routing will work and where you need to make turns. There are no elbow tubes, so you have to use the connector "blocks" with doors for this. Use them to change directions. The tubes have a red light once completed and then turn yellow once there is a legit connection between two objects. Everything that has a legit connection on the system can be accessed via "K" on the keypads of everything within that system, and you can send commands and move inventory around, including to yourself.

One thing to plan ahead for is to have enough materials already made and in containers outside the system BEFORE you connect the assember because if you cover all the assembler doors before it is legitly connected, then you won't be able to send commands to it and retrieve materials needed to finish the conveyers. Most may not have to worry about this, but I ran into it with my layout. I had one door connected, but no access to the keypad on the only refinery connected(it was against the asteroid), so before covering the other door with a tube, I had to have all my materials ready and extracted.

On the mining rig, the drills are normally very close to each other, so all you need is a conveyor block (or tube if straight) between all of them and then put the "spitting" conveyor on one of conveyor blocks such that you can hover over a collector convey on your base system and shoot the material in the direction of the collector.

The conveyors with bring all ore automatically to the refineries and the assembler will draw on the processed ore as needed from your production requests. Overflows go to the containers. The exact rules on all this are subject to change of course, but I got it all working on the first shot because it does make sense. :-D

would it be possible for you to either show an image or a video of how to create a corner connection as i can't seem to understand what you mean

just put a conveyor down and attach tubes to the 2 sides that you want it to travel.
Hell if you want you could just use conveyor blocks for the whole damn thing if you really wanted too.

I have a workshop world "Crashed Red Ship" you can look at.

I'm having trouble myself trying to make 2 drills connect to a medium cargo with a spitter.

Here is my link, I've tried using connectors as elbows, no workie :/

You need the convery belt (not tubes) for turning the one on the right side for the ship (left in pic).

You could have made a guide for this...

Thank you for the assistance!

Also pretty sure the tubes lights turn green when actively moving pieces. I use Conveyors to make 90 degree turns personally.

Conveyor tubes are completely optional for now and, at present, it makes more sense to use conveyor blocks for the entire route in anycase.

i found a bug with the refinery/assembler being next to each other an easy fix u just build somthing if the materials the assembler shows issnt there even tho they are just remember to turn on the conveyer option and theyll slide in and itll register sadfully meansa u need to manually slide the materials the refinery processes since it issnt automaticly done as the conveyers havnt read they need to put them in there on their own depending on the materials selected that require the refined items theyll high light as able to build

There's no bug here, it works just fine. The assembler purposefully no longer fills with materials as it did before the patch, it now just automatically takes whatever materials it needs from the system on demand whenever you give it a blueprint order to process.

You do *not* need to manually transfer anything into the assembler.

The "Conveyer" Blocks are the elbows. I think our Mr. Malak mistaked his choice of words.Tubes and Conveyer blocks are in-accessable btw. Connecters aren't they those entry points for loading stuff. I have not as of yet gotten mine to load 5 reactors on my pet mine vessel. Gonna keep trying. Thx everyone.

Got Storage compartments on my vessel. Fixed a Conveyer-line to both of them. The same distance apart of course, the lowest # on "K" list Fills up first then the next starts filling. FYI....Spoiler. lol.Forgot They're fillin' wit Drillins..

Huh? Of course Tubes and Conveyors are accessible, that's what this last patch was all about...??

Connectors are output blocks, the Collector is the input block.
