How the hell do I place cubes?
Because I frankly don't have that magical LMB/LCTRL button- and changing it in the options does nothing.

I assumed LMB to refer to 'left mouse button'- but that doesnt' work. Same applies to the left CTRL button.

Do you play it without mouse and keyboard?

You've written your reply at the same time I've replied to your thread, and you said you don't have that magical LMB/LCTRL buttons, so I assumed that you play without keyboard and mouse.

Well, I'm just going to ignore this thread if you don't need any help.

Hoping you have all the material for it , then simply drop and Left click when it's green , if it's yellow/orange , you are missing something then .

have you moved a block you wish to place into your hotbar and selected it with the corresponding number key? If you are playing on survival mode... do you have the resources required to place the block?

Are you attempting to place the block into empty space? If so, that won't work. You can only place blocks on existing structures... if you are trying to create a new ship, you need to choose that option from the G menu, and it will place a starter block for you (or put a landing gear item in your hotbar for you to place on part of the starter station).

I have the necessary materials- and I'm trying to put the cube on a platform. It (sort of) works if I use the middle mouse button- as it seemingly replaces the brick I was trying to place the cube on.

I just bought the game- so I presumably misunderstood something.

Are you in survival mode or creative? placing multiple blocks at once in survival isn't possible.

if you don't have a left mouse button or left control key, i assume you will have to change the keybindings.

try pressing G to select your block click and drag into the set of boxes at the bottom place it in 1 also do the same with the tools at the top but place them in the other numbered boxes press esc. select the number 1 place the block, then the tool that looks like it a blow torch and then press mouse button and build. i hope that is what you wanted to know. If not ignore me :-) also thats survival mode i dont know about creative if it different.
