^funny

No way to defend, if you have solar. I may start another game without solar, but this game will never work because I have 75 panels already.

Okay Build Heavy armor Towers one block big like stickign out 4 blocks and every 4 side blocks on your ship so you might get luck and the metoir will hit that

I tryed that, they eventualy punch through the asteroid and cause havock inside. it takes a while, but building inside only buys you time, its not a i win option.

there was a bug - meteorites are dealing much more damage to asteroids than they were supposed to. We will fix that for sure.

I noticed this on amagedon they were punching thru my asteriod... but on normal I dont notice it much and imagine it would take a lifetime for them to actually get thru.... but yea, on hardest, kiss your astroid goodbye..... honestly they shouldnt do any damage to the astroids, we need those.

but yea.... currently hiding a base in an astroid is the best and only defence... which is a big FU on this update since they state "You should find ways to protect your character and your creations." And yet there are none... >.> didn't even put anything in that helps with this or modify existing content to assist.

on my server I am watching all my clients bases who havent returned since update, and their ♥♥♥♥ is all destroyed, even the heavy armor bases. (luckily I can import their bases back from an older backup)

shouldn't metorites actually add to an astroid's mass? I mean, unless it splits it in two or breaks a chunk off..

asteroids...
rotating "shield" pointing towards the sun i had a single thick one on armagedon using light armour and lasted for about an hour so if you used heavy armour and thicker than 1 block it should last alot longer

rotating shield is a great idea if you happen to be there when the storm starts and it rotates fast! not very practical it seems

I do wonder how big ship weapons will react to meteor storms, can you set them to point defence mode to shoot any that will hit your ship/station. It maybe possible since nearly every cargo ship is armed, the weapons may be there for auto defence.

Or have automated versions of the small ship missile pods designed for self defence.

Another though, has anyone test if meteor's are effected by gravity? the player built kinetic weapons were so you could build gravity deflectors.

i tried that before making my rotating shield and turns out gravity doesnt affect them
