Crosshair bound to arrow keys by default?
I just bought the game and am unsure if this is the norm, but my camera will not move via mouse? I went into key bindings and the turn keys are bound to arrows by default. This is very annoying as I do not have 3 hands to work the mouse, wasd, and arrow keys all at the same time and is making anything I try to do extremely tedious.

I can't even learn how to play the game because of this. Any answers would be extremely helpful.

You tried pressing and holding ALT in 3rd person ro activate mouse look ?
Drunken Ninja Feb 23, 2014 @ 3:24am
I just tried that, both in 1st and 3rd person. I tried it while crouching and sprinting too. How long do I have to hold down the alt key for it to activate?? Nothing seems to be working.

Damn bro I tried changing the look around key multiple times to multiple keys and still nothing. Even tried verifying integrity of the game cache. Is it possible to download a bunk version of the game? If so I would like these jackasses to at least compensate it's been almost 4 hours since i sent an email detailing this. Money not well spent and poor customer service to boot.

camera mode is active as long you kep alt pressed. release the button and the camera locks in position again

That doesn't do anything though... I hold alt and nothing happens even in 3rd person. Still have to use the arrow keys to look around.

It's like when I join a new world or load an old one my mouse just goes unresponsive and rebinding the hold to look key does NOTHING.

Are you guys sure you're ok? This is getting ridiculous I don't care about camera mode or w/e I just want to look around with the mouse and everyone is telling me to do stuff that just doesn't work and it's getting frustrating.

I can't grasp how someone ctrl+shifts then clicks then uses the arrows to drag out a sheet then lets go of all 3 keys and the mouse at the same time. Do you use your feet to press keys?

nobody does that man! Something's amiss with your game, or your mouse, or something. Packet loss can cause some downloads to become corrupted, so yes you are correct in thinking it is possibly a corrupted game file.

Is it a USB mouse? Or an old school PS/2 mouse? Perhaps a USB mouse plugged into the PS/2 port via adapter?

Also. Not sure if possible, but did you try resetting the controls to default?

I'm sure they have alot of emails complaining about different bugs. It is still an Alpha game, so they're probably very busy. I'm good at troubleshooting stuff, though, so I might be able to help you.

It's a USB mouse, I've tried 2 different mice in separate ports. No adapters or anything like that. I've tried defaulting the controls. I will try to backup saves and reinstall the game. So not everyone has to float around with the jetpack to place items? Like click, hit a etc then drag out sheets via actually flying? I just want to make sure the game actually uses the mouse to point the crosshair and I'm not wiggin out over a game mechanic.

Ya you're definately supposed to be able to use the mouse to aim.
Hopefully the reinstall solves the issue for you.

The mouse works in other games correct?
Drunken Ninja Feb 26, 2014 @ 2:54am
Mouse is working fine, I reinstalled and now the mouse works to aim however I get an error every time I try to join an online world or exit the game back to the desktop. Not surprisingly the error is along the lines of "Unable to load world, File corrupted" or something similar. BUT that's not that big of a deal because my mouse is working as intended now ^^

Thank you Too Tall and everyone else who tried to help assess the situation, maybe another reinstall will allow loading multiplayer worlds.

I had this problem when I first started the game. I thought the mouse was too fast on the menus so before I even started playing I turned the mouse sensitivity down all the way. Then when I started playing the mouse didn't work at all for movement and looking around, but it was still too fast for menus. After about 15min I figured out what I'd done and put the sensitivity back to default.

How do people even find 10 year old threads to wake them up again?
