Symetry Mode
For the life of me I can't get it to work! Can someone explain Exactly how to use it? I've been pressing M, clicking to set, then I can't place blocks. Instructional videos say to press Esc to set the symetry and begin building, but all it's done for me is remove the symetry lines, what N should do, not Esc. I've also notices I can creat a symetry line, then move the coursor and another apears, but I've no clue what that ones for.

ok, place down the symettary you want, then click "m" untill it goes back to block placement mode, when you try to place blocks on the ship/ spacestation, if the block doesn't appear on the other side of the ship / symettary line, press "n".

Same problem here.
It just won't work.
I can set the line (indicated by the line, or plane becoming less transparent) but that's it. No matter what way I go from there, there is no change to building.

This is realy anoying as I try to build large objects. By the time I jet-pack over to the other side I forget which blocks/positions I used on the first side.

'M' toggles what symmetry axis you want, left click to set the axis. Once finished press Esc and then press 'N' to activate symmetry mode, you should see the coloured axis show up when you are placing blocks.

To add to Tactical Wombat's post; there are 3 planes each with two symmetry modes. Thus 7 key presses will cycle all the way through and back to normal mode. Activate symmetry mode as Tactical has described then use 'M' to cycle to the plane you want to mirror. There are two modes for each plane. The first is centered on the block, the second is on the edge of the block. (A centered block plane symmetry would be for a ship with an odd number of blocks and edge mode would be for an even number of blocks.) with the plane showing for your desired mirror LEFT CLICK to set the plane or RIGHT CLICK to remove a plane. If you have edited and activated a symmetry plane, when you return to normal mode (cycling the M key) you will see the planes you've activated anytime you have your cursor over your ship and you have a block selected.
