- We don't actualy travel about the galaxy. We never leave the solar system. It was be a bit off if we moved to diffrent parts of the galaxy and were still near the same star :p So the skybox not changing isnt really an issue. A visualy clear diffrence would require a massive change in location.
- We do have auto pilot... It is in the remote control block, and if all you wanted is someone to hold the W key, you know you can override the thrusters to make them go constantly with no input from you right?
- I'd Love scanners. as long as they are scriptable.
But after that I will expect some next step which I think is moving to other place to explore not only planets, but the abandoned ships and station.
Technically the star chart should be same but it will give you more real feeling about traveling when it's changing ...
Just now:
- when you start, make the GPS position Home
- 'Midspace's exploration ship scan' is essential
- when you find some wreck/station/nice asteroid make an GPS (you can hide it from console right)
- do not afraid put some creation you want to explore 'manually' (it's not the same feeling like when you find it, but let's work with thinks we have)
