Its the "Random Encounters" option.......
Not all derelict ships are stellar in design, but I did find several of them very interesting to explore inside. The derelict stations were a mixed bag with only a few of them being interesting to walk through. Harvesting the derelict ships for parts can easily fill dozens of large containers with parts (given a good grinding facility). You literally would never need to mine or manufacture again. I'd love to see a much greater quantity/variety of things to explore and I'm guessing that is what Planets can bring to the table.
I took out all the doors, upgraded for 02, Took out solar panel cover, and put a glass top on it..
