My assertions were in fact facts and you even agreed with my statements that not all games run on Mac. I agreed that for games that aare supported on Macs that ones that have the necassary hardware run them just fine. As for preference of the OS environment I aslo said that it is a matter of preference as they can both basically perform the same tasks. I am tlaking about Macs as a whole because OS X is proprietary to Macs so I consider them the same. It is the same when I say PC or Windows instead of the specific version of windows like XP or 7. I also didn't argue its ability to run Windows but just the fact that you need to because lots of games arent supperted on Macs natively. A windows gamer can just have windows and never have to deal with anything other than windows but a Mac gamer, if he wants to play any game, has to have Mac and Windows to do that. I am not attacking Mac or OS X as an operating system.
Mac platform has the same high-end hardware that gaming computers have, you just need the OS. The answer i have found is Parallels Desktop, which lets you run "Windows.app" as an emulator.
works better than my backup PC on all games, and my PC is newer than my mac
Looks like bootcamp might be the only way to do it on mac hardware.
So dual-boot would be the way to go, if your parents allow it.
But I don't know your Macs HW specs. Usually, Macs are not outfitted for high-end gaming. Especially the GPU often lacks the necessary punch, while the rest of the components is decent.
And the game is not optimized yet, which could still cause issues.
Personally I hope the devs consider a MAC version. Many other games play nicely on this platform and I suggest they take advantage of it. MACs have awesome hardware and fairly solid updates and stable interfaces.
I also suggest that if Bobblehead doesn't own a MAC (which he has already admitted) then he really doesn't have freeness to talk about the subject. He certainly is a fountain of half truths and bad search results.
Just saying.. I'm a serious gamer and have been for over two decades and I love my MAC. Not looking to pick a fight, just allowing readers a more objective viewpoint.
...thank you, i havent laughed that hard since i was a child.
I find it difficult to imagine that I could be incorrect considering my last comment basically boils down to:
-Games that play natively on a Mac, that meet recommended specs, play fine.
-Games that dont play natively on a Mac require runnings Windows in some shape or form. This can be an obstacle in some situations.
-Macs have less than 50% of the number of games than Windows.
-Windows users get access to pretty much every single computer game where Mac users need Windows in order to play a lot of games.
Those are cold hard facts and really all that matter in a conversation about computer gaming. If you play on a Mac you limit yourself on your available games unless you decide to run Windows too. As far as what OS you prefer to use to browse the web and watch Youtube it really doesnt matter, they can both do that stuff just fine.
