Any easy way to convert all armor to heavy armor?
I have a large ship that I want to convert from Light armor to heavy armor. But there are nearly 100,000+ blocks, is there a tool or way to convert all the light blocks, to heavy armor blocks?

Unless someone has modded this, I don't think so

I found this old post, but the forum link is dead to me. Anyone know what they're talking about? http://steamcommunity.com/app/244850/discussions/0/558747922276571303/

Ah! I think I found it, SEToolBox has a way to convert light blocks to heavy blocks or whatever, really. I'm gonna try it out and see how successful it is. Looks promising!

Holy crap. Millions of tons of light armor converted to hundreds of millions of tons of heavy armor in just a few minutes. Wow. Yep, that work out well.

Lad, it was a large ship from the workshop, not something I built. I'm sure you feel really jolly with that clever comment, but wow. I cant describe the level of pity I feel for you.

My friends, I have the solution of converting light armor into heavy armor and vise versa. In order to do this, you need a code editing software like visual studios 2017. Basically, you use Windows Key + R and show your hidden files. Then you go into the Space Engineers folder and find your blueprint folder. There, find the name of the ship you want to edit and you should see 3 fills, Find the SBC file(NOT SBCB5) and open with editor. then use the edit tool to find the "Replace tool." From there, type LargeBlockArmor in the search, then in the replacer section, type LargeHeavyBlockArmor (double check to make sure) and select the button to replace all of those specific phrases, then save the file and close the editor, once done, delete the SBCB5 file. then you are good to start your world, paste in your ship, and see it is now fully converted.

To convert from heavy to light, do the same steps except type LargeHeavyBlockArmor in the search and LargeBlockArmor in replacer. Hope this helps boys!

The post is 5 years old, the last answer more than 2 years in the past.

The easiest way is to use toolbox. change colors, materials owners, delete, duplicate.....

The community uses the new SEToolbox :

:alert: Warning :alert:
Always open a copy of your world save with SEToolbox, just in case you make a mistake and lose your Fav save.
