Cargo container breaking items.
After latest updates I found out that on breaking of the cargo container no items get out. They just get demolished in it. Is there a way to destroy a cargo container so it "spits" out all the items that were in it?

Btw if there was a thread on that please throw a link at me ;)

How are the containers being broken? If you're using a large ship grinder array or something similar, it's possible that the items are coming out of the containers and immediately being turned to scrap metal by the grinders.

Ejector or connector, move the stuff first, I've not tried on planets, but normally the contents would just fall out when grinding down the container, this may be different on planets though, so I'd suggest eject or move stuff out first.
Ejectors and connectors is not the way I want them to get out, because it's slow and I want to have them all at once. I tested them getting destroyed by warheads and pistons, so, yeah, maybe I got to try demolishing them with grinders.

Yep grinders just suck the items in, so it;s not the way :(

Hmm, I thought this was always how it worked. That stuff inside blocks which are ground down are lost. Did that change?

Connectors are instant, they can do everything at once.
Nope, connectors don't, tryied it already, i'll test once more, but i'm sure they are like 125 per spit.
Destroying them against the astoroids doesn't help too... Items just vanish.

Connectors don't have a rate limit, it you use a conveyor sorter or manually click and drag you can move everything at once. I don't remember what sort of inherent item push/pull thing connectors have or what that is limited to because it's been useless for quite some time.

I think he means directly transfer to another container on another ship or whatever, not have it spit the parts out on the ground individually.
Well, the thing is that I don't want to move things to other ships or get them all to my engineer's inventory. I want everything to be thrown out in space at a second. And connectors don't do that. They have a function 'throw out' which has a rate. Just tested it.

I'm confused what you motivation is, then. Do you want what is in the container or not? If you do, then you wouldn't want to spit it into space, so you'd just transfer it. If you don't, what does it matter if the stuff disappears when you destroy the container?

Well think about a bit of logic here... Destroy the container and you destroy its contents. That's why war heads and launching it didn't work.
To achieve what you want, their is no "super fast" way to do it..

I'm compelled to ask though, what are your plans?....

But... Why do you want that?...

It's only "practical" use would be trollish kinetic torpedo's...

What are you referring to? That what?
