Disable ambiance

I hate the constant wind noise in space. How do I get rid of it? Normally I go into the game sound folder and rename things so it can't play them. SE has a really big tree of assets and it's hard for me to be sure what I'm disabling. So which folder do I get rid of and what is the folder path?

Yeah, it's a constant hissing sound no volume change. Most similar to wind in Skyrim. Or that cave sound in Minecraft. Yes. I know. I'm in a cave. Stop telling me.

It's the jetpack idling sound. Turn off your suit's jetpack and it should stop.

Well, the footstep noise isn't crazy-making anymore, so they had to make ALL THE OTHER SOUNDS SOOO LOUD!!!!! I can't hear myself over my assembler and medstations. It's insane.

So where is the jetpack_idle.ogg in the Space Engineers folder?

The suit thrusters sound strange to me and I thought the drones outside my asteroid base were causing the noise by crashing.

There are jetpack sounds in two folders, SpaceEngineers\Content\Audio\ARC\PLAYER\ and \SpaceEngineers\Content\Audio\REAL\PLAYER\

They have names like "ArcPlayJetIdleLoop2d.wav" and "RealPlayJetIdleLoop2d.wav"

could try this, apparently it lowers all sound except for the sound block.

yes it is. started a new world and it got so bad that i bult a really long conveyor off the yellow ship so when i dock i dont have to listen to it =p
