Grinders won't grind blocks on their own grid. you'll need to move it off the main grid by using a piston or rotor.
Ty for help, but what would be the best way, have the grinders disconnected or have the pojector disconnected?
I've used merge blocks, i never really messed with trying to use a grinder.
I just knew from building my grinder pit that grinders won't grind blocks from their own grid.

Now that batteries start at 30% charge, it's also much easier to power the torpedo in this setup.
you put the merge block on top of the projector. when you turn the merge block off it disconnects whatever is on the other side. Do note this requires 2 merge blocks. one on the ship / station and one on the missile / ship that is being projected.
Indeed you can. Many how to's / guides on youtube, and i think there might even be a few in the guides section of steam.
Never seen that before. I don't know what I'll do with this information but I'll keep it in mind.
