I figured as much. That's pretty lame.
If that's too lame for you, start on the moon then?
Because there is no option for such, hence why I asked if there was.
I do not want a station to start with.
Yea I know, but flying around space and setting up planets and astroids yourself takes forever. I was just hoping there would be an easier way.
Nah doesn't take forever, you need some patience thats all, don't try to get everything done in one day, set goals, today i build the universe, tomorrow i play in it :), cheers man
1. commit suicide after spawning and then select to respawn in the yellow ship (respawn ship is default name)
2. as soon as you spawn angle the ship so that both the rear thrust and lower thrust is pointing towards the planet e.g at about a 45-60degree angle.
3. push forward and lift at the same time, the combined thrust from the 6 engines will slow you and then push you out into space ! can take a while to slow you down.
down side is that you burn through a fair bit of your uranium during the escape burn so once your free of gravity just turn off al non essential systems like refinery and assembler and oxy generator as well as grav gen, then turn off your dampers and coast to the nearest asteroid and hope there is a uranium deposit there. hope that helps ...
