Yes, yes can.
1) build a ship, ( I'm assuming you've already've done this)
2) make a blue print of the ship
3) build a projector block
4) load the blueprint into the projector block
5) attach the projection to a grid
6) build second ship
hope that helps
I tend to play this game on my own most of the time(which I'm fine with and enjoy without any issues) and to get me going I used to paste in a few ships that I'd pre-built in another creative world.
I know you can use the projector but it's very laborious to then have to weld it all once completed. Especially if it's a large design. Not happy I've been forced into doing this. I would switch the worlds between creative and survival but that completely ruins any cargo inventories I've already built up as cargo is unlimited in creative so when I switch back to survival I lose a tonne of stuff I've already stored up. As it's only a single player world I'd like all the choices at my disposal and using copy/paste was a big boost for me. Don't have a huge amount of time to play these days and this just makes it worse :\
Apologies for the necro but it as the most up to date topic I could find on this subject.
In fact, they did exactly the opposite. We now have Space Master mode which gives you access to creative tools (like copy/paste) from within your survival world without needing to exit it and change the save file setup.
Yes you have.
I didnt realise that had been added. i'll need to read up about it. Thx for the info.
