[QUICK FIX] FIX UNSUPPORTED GRAPHICS CARD
Hi All,

I had the 'unsupported GPU' error as well today after updating to the newest patch!
I have luckily found a fix for this!

BEWARE: Disabling your integrated graphics while using it will cause you to lose all connected displays to that GPU. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

The thing causing the bug is the integrated Graphics (either CPU or MOBO) on MOBO I am not sure but for me ( I am an Intel user ) it is integrated in the CPU.

Go to:

Right Mouse click Start -> Device Manager -> Display Adapters -> Right Mouse click Integrated Graphics -> Disable -> Yes

When the Integrated Graphics are disabled, Space Engineers will boot up again and will not detect your Integrated Graphics as the GPU (therefore unsupported) but will instead know again that you have in fact a dedicated GPU which is fine to run the game!

Hope I helped you out!

Hopefully this gets fixed soon, while disabling the integrated is a decent work around, it isn't applicable for everyone. Like for those of us on laptops equipped with Optimus it just leads to a lot of problems.
Same Problem...

I try all... Nothing works..

I have a Geforce GTX 980 Ti and SE dont work xD

I wannt back my money!
The Dell 15R SE laptop and many others use a switchable graphics engine to choose the best video card per app. But the hardware is designed in a way that the integrated gpu cannot be disabled completely. Not even in a BIOS option.
This issue must be fixed by the team behind Space Engineers.
And soon, I hope.
if this problem can't fix i am give back the game
The issue is fixable. The game goes right into the start screen. But the error window pops up. Seems like it uses one gpu (the good one) to run but gets confused...
tried above and still does not work.

I have this issue and it's really frustrating because it only affects my laptop and I'm flying to Scotland tonight with my wife and was relying on being able to stay in the hotel during the day tomorrow, and play SE while she goes to a Christmas market with her sister.

PLEASE KEEN, RELEASE A HOTFIX, DO NOT MAKE ME GO TO THE CHRISTMAS MARKET!!! :(
Whilst the next guide is for another game, I think, it may help with this issue either

Sadly, that doesn't make a difference for me. If only there were a way to force it in the config file, but I've tried changing a few setting in there, but it's not helped.

If I manually disable my Intel VGA adapter, then try and run SE, it hangs for ages then says I don't have any drivers installed for my AMD card. :\
I dont know which patch did it, but I no longer die instantly on a randomly generated world. I do however, get a flashing block any time I try to place a station, large ship, or small ship. Nothing sticks to the ground. So now I'm just mining resources without the ability to contruct anything.
Its 2016 guys, and I still get the error. But guess what, the error does nothing to the game. I just play it with 60 fps and no lag. The error screen is now just an undeleted piece of text.
Also thought i have another look at this game. Have almost 500h play time, so it definitely run in the past.. Gets worse over time i have the feeling..

GTX 680MX, same problem. Tried updating driver, setting configs in SpaceEngineers.cfg, nothing works.

Will look into the game again in about a year, lets see if until then the amount of bugs starts to decrease..
