Save ships?
I just did the tutorial. Spent all afternoon making my first ship and would like to save it (or at least export it) so I can use it in other worlds, without having to place the components individually every time. How can I do so?

Thanks

Ctrl-B while aiming at it.

Also, to use your saved ship in a new game prss F10 to bring up the blueprints window. double click on the print you want and press Ctrl+V to paste the ship (if in creative mode)

You can also use Ctrl+C to copy the ship and save it to your blueprints window.

What about in non-creative mode? How do I "paste" the blueprint?

You can't "paste" in survival. You have to build a projector block, then assign it to project the blueprint. Projectors need to be the same size as what you are building, so a small ship projector to project a small ship blueprint. The bluepront shows up as a hologram of your ship and you have to weld all the bits.

Sorry, I don't follow. Could you rephrase for newbs, please?

I'm not sure if it works in survival singleplayer but you could try Space Master mode.

Press ALT+F10 and enable creative mode tools at the top. That gives you your creative "powers" in survival and you can build and paste/copy freely.

It's a bit of cheating but sometimes you just have speed things up to have fun. You can always turn off your creative "powers" latter when you want to go full survival again.

Click create a new small ship in the G menu, place a small reactor on it, then place a projector on top of the small reactor so the + is on the top. Give the reactor a kg of uranium, then open the projector menu in the control panel for that new ship and click the button to load a blueprint. Select your ship from the list, and a hologram of your ship will now be floating in the air. Use the projector control panel to raise or lower the hologram if needed, and place small armor blocks until they are touching the hologram (you can only weld parts of the hologram that are touching another solid block). At that point you can use your welder to start building the parts in the hologram.

I'll try this. Thank you!
So These Tips seem really handy and all. but does anyone know what to do with this problem.

The Game tells you/me to click F10 (Just F10) to open the blueprint menu. but for some laptops this time, its the button for say, pausing and continuing Example: Itunes music.

I keep clicking F10 for the Blueprint menu but nothing happens. how do i fix this?

You could try rebinding your controls? Other than that, I don't know...
