but i think as it is its quite accurate.
One option is to move base to near the "poles" where you can get longer days, or even areas where it's never really dark. I like having a night though.
I think the devs are aware it's too dark at night, I think they said something somewhere. I could have imagined it though.
or maybe random nights with a full moon ligth, a fake moon like the sun perhaps?
The only way to have pitch black night, is to have bad weather, or live near a city (the city light will kill night light).
Otherwise, if the weather is good, and you can see the sky (no trees), the night is far from pitch black. And if it's full moon, you have even more light.
It's more than enough to see around you. Sure, you can hardly take the details, but it's not pitch black.
It's not like the night sky is made of billions of little sun you know.
On a planet with no light pollution whatsoever, and perhaps a light atmosphere, you would see pretty well.
City dwellers, forget how real nights are, and think they know better.
