Most Important Question: Are you willing to buy a game that at any point in time may be broken, may not work, may make your save files unusable, may have bad performance on your computer, mayhave features change and is overall still in development?. Basically, do you fully understand what it means for a game to be in early access?

the Creative Mode is like Mincraft, but here you have some physics involved, gravity and some mechanical moving parts.
The survival part is not 100% done yet, but we have huge planets now and infinite space to explore.
Also as RayvenQ said, take taht in consideration too. is 13 bucks now, like waht the heck, Im broke now.. but $13 is... nothing for what this game can offer

especially in the future. im sure this will be much better in another 6 months time. considering theyre not held up by a big feature anymore. :)

simple pirate "AI" ships. if on alien planets and titan moons you get a "space spider". thats it.

Don't go by what the menu movie shows, the bones are there to obtain the kind of gameplay it depicts but it's just not there yet. Maybe once both the netcode and more AI/prefabs/expanded game modes are added.

It's actually quite simple at its core. It's like playing with legos, except many of the blocks have settings you can customize. But once you get basic block building, understand the 3-5 basic things all ships need, and get the general setting screen for the blocks that's pretty much everything. From there, the complexity is all in your hands. In other words, the reason it looks complex is because people choose to do complex things with those simple blocks :)

If you stick to creative mode the game isn't too tough. Survial is more difficult because you have to do a lot of planning in order to construct things efficiently. You can't just place a cockpit, for example, you need to refine ore to produce the materials necessary for all the cockpit components (computers, screens, motors, etc.). You have equipment that does most of this work for you, but it's up to you to figure out how to use everything properly.

The tutorials are fairly extensive (when they're working properly) and if you can't spend the time to get through them you'll likely not get much out of this game.

All in all, you get what you put into it. I'm sure you're smart enought to handle this game

It's very simple. Just try to understand what each block does individually. It gets rather simple once you know that as well as the interface.

The Tutorials they have in game are very very detailed they will give you most of the basics but some of the more complex stuff like rotors pistons and timer blocks take a little longer to understand. Compared to minecraft its not Mine, Smelt, Craft, Build its more like Mine, Refine, Assemble components, weld block repeat until you have a ship or station.

As everyone has told you with the tutorials it is not hard. On the other hand those of us like me that have been here from the beginning had to learn without help. It took some time but I have figured all the simpler things out. With planets now in the game.....really worth the money. You can play offline alone with or without AI attacking you. Your limits are your imagination.

Its free this weekend and 50% off try it out and I highly recommend your keep it.

Ignore rotors and pistons, they are buggy AF.
