This is basically the same issue I found occassionally this update. The first time, the bloated looking skin covered up the entire entrance to a hollow Asteroid. (I then proptly got lost inside)
I've also found that drilling through asteroids, the drilling sound effect (and possibly the drilling itself) kind of cuts in and out rather than being constant like it used to... It may or may not be related.
As for DX11... That's not exactly an option for me... Since for me DH11 looks like everything gets put through an old cathode monitor. Leaving alternating lines of Mostly-Transparent/Partly-Transparent across everything.
Supposedly the dev's know, and are working on both problems.
How long until my engineer has a flat nose from crashing into rocks face first?
Not long if he does it without a ship or helmet. You might want to invest in an Unobtanium Noseguard PRO!™
